When I decided to stop drinking alcohol in 2019, I downloaded an app and it asked me "why are you getting sober?". My response was "I want to be proud of who I am as a person and be able to impact other people's lives in a positive way." Becoming a full-time personal trainer has helped me achieve this purpose.
After a breakup in 2015, I noticed I had gained a good amount of "relationship weight". I was "skinny fat" and wanted to improve how I looked and felt. I started to take my weight lifting training very seriously at this point. After only a year of consistent hard training, I had made significant strength and muscle gains. I started consuming all kinds of fitness content - books, YouTube videos, podcasts - I was obsessed.
Since then, I've been on a mission to spread the knowledge I've gained with other people. The fitness industry makes things complicated to sell you more products that don't get results. My goal is always to make fitness as simple as possible. If I can make it simple then it becomes doable, and eventually it becomes easy.
My favorite thing as a coach is to train people that have never lifted weights before in their life. I will teach you how to train for your goals, avoid injury, and how to make progress forever. Your body is unique and the way you move is unique. So we will see what you're capable of and build up from there. We will work on building sustainable weight loss habits that will allow you to keep the fat off for good.
Any coach can get you to lose 10lbs in 6 weeks. But, if you gain the weight back then you've wasted 3 months of your life. And you're in exactly the same place as where you started.
You will not see huge changes in a couple of weeks training with me. But after 6 months... 9 months... a YEAR of consistent training - you won't even recognize the old you.
